AMT Cardassian Galor Battleship

By Steve Rosario

Here is the AMT Cardassian Galor Battleship. For the most part it was built out of the box. All of the panel lines were sanded down and re-scribed. Painting was a bit of a nightmare in that almost every reference photo I came across showed a slightly different version of the base color so I just did my best (I actually repainted it 3 times). I followed the shading instructions from an article I came across written by the builders of the studio model.

I didn't use the kit decals, instead downloading and printing the fantastic markings from this site by Carlos Zangrando. The window decals I did myself and were applied in some cases 2 or 3 at a time, but mostly 1 at a time (it took almost a week).

Overall I was pretty happy with the outcome and, even though some of them haven't been the best, I've always enjoyed AMT's Star Trek kits!
