The Shady Lady

By John Kluge

Here are pics of a 1/177 scale Millennium Falcon that I have just put the finishing touches on. To begin with, I like the Falcon  as it looks pretty rugged but I decided to make my own ship name and went with a darker title known as "The Shady Lady".   Assembly was pretty straightforward but I did have to deal with a broken chunk off of the main bottom hull piece.   Thankfully it was a clean break and was easily repaired.   The end result is a fine ship with lots of details on the hull that really catch the eye.

I made the Lady to look like a standard working freighter that may take a few smuggling jobs on the side but it is all-in-all a legal working ship.   I drybrushed the top and bottom but  I think I may have overdone it a bit.   Let the  fan decide but I like my ships to look like they have been put through the cosmic  wringer more than a few times.   The Shady Lady logo  was done with Warhammer 40 Enchanted Purple and I managed to get it right in one shot.   Word  to the wise, no Red Bull before detail painting.   I got  the decals from JT graphics and while it is a bit racy, anyone who has ordered these decals can say that this is one of the most tame of the bunch.   All in all, a good ship and a fine model.
