Wing Gundam

This is one of the five main protagonist mecha of the Gundam Wing series, first seen in the beginning of the show in its "Bird Mode". Later in the show after all the five Gundams have assembled with a common mission, Heero takes the Wing Gundam to his target, transforms into its "Mobile Suit" mode, and shoots down an OZ shuttle. Bandai released a Master Grade model in 2010 of the Wing Gundam that appeared in the show. Its proportions and appearance look like the actual MS in the show. I picked this model up at Toys n Joys here in Hawaii when the shipment after its release came in. All the pieces were molded in the colors according to the one on the show. It has that XXXG-01 frame like all the MG Master Grade models. I painted the whole thing anyway, even if it was molded in its actual colors. Unlike its HG 1/100th scale predecessor released in 1995, it has a bit of realism to it. The transformation is smooth. It can pull off that beam shot while entering Earth's atmosphere with its buster rifle. I made it look like Heero abused it a bit. Because some pieces wont stay on I left those parts with the machinery exposed. Still its a really good looking kit. Very well made.
