USS Defiant-B

By Doug Cowles

I just finished this build of the AMT/ERTL Enterprise-C done as the Defiant-B.  This is the next in line following the Defiant-A I built for a client a few years ago.

I used a modified version of the hull graphics found on Starship Modeler and JT Graphics lifeboat decals.  The name, registry, pennants, etc. were made by TSDS Modeling.

Each colored section of the primary hull was painted with a base color and then the hull pattern was carefully drawn out on each individual section and masked and hand painted.  Once each section was done, it was then oversprayed with the main color to tone the pattern down.  There were a lot of hours put into the hull pattern.

I hate how the ship's name and registry are randomly slapped all over the "canon" version of these ships. I mean really, does it have to say Defiant on the top and bottom of both pylons?  I opted to go retro and used the locations found on the Refit / -A Enterprise instead.
