USS Sinclair

By Doug Cowles

I recently completed the attached USS Sinclair display for a local Star Trek club here in Michigan. It's the old AMT/ERTL Defiant model with some modifications and custom decals from JT Graphics.   The club wanted it pristine so there's no weathering - which is harder to accomplish than one might think.   You can cover myriad sins in the name of weathering!

I decided to depict the club's logo, which I've included a picture of as a reference, along with a dedication plaque.   The model is mounted on a ball to provide the necessary stability to keep it from banging into the ring and to fill the empty space below and behind it.

It was a fun build and I hope everyone likes it.
