USS Confederation

This is the USS Confederation, a Confederation-class starship. She is a precursor to the Constitution-class, and a descendent of the Baton Rouge-class. This kit was mastered by Cheetah Productions and cast and sold through JPG Castings. Nicely done, too. I built her according to the instructions, as well as using the kit-supplied decals (which are quite nice). I made a slight adjustment to the bow saucer sensors. They are gray on the decal sheet (as can be seen on one of the pictures), but I wanted to show them as powered up, and hybrid. So the larger center circle is gold, like the Main Sensor/Deflector, the outer circles are white to indicate an energized version as we eventually see on the later Constitution-class. All colors are Testors Model Master Acrylic paints. The main color is Light Ghost Gray, followed by Gold and Silver for the Main Sensor/Deflector, Bussard Spikes, and Aft Sensor Band, Dark Ghost Gray for the Inner Nacelles, and Gunship Gray for the nacelle ends. Obviously, I used white for the Bridge Dome, Planetary Sensor, and Saucer Observatory. I am very glad to have this ship as part of my fleet. I really enjoy the Pre-TOS era - it's very fun to play around in.
