MacHenry 013 Plasma Generating Device

By Adam MacMillan

Introducing the MacHenry 013 plasma generating device, an over-engineered yet suprisingly ineffective weapon. The choice for those that simply wish to accessorize.

It all started with an aluminum vase, an antique (30s-40s) telecope and a pattern for an odd shaped handle. Aided by free time and metal machining equipment, every part was hand fabricated and designed on-the-fly. Not sure what all to tell; the grip is mahoghany, metals are aluminum, brass and bronze (telescope mount) and some small-diameter stainless tubing. The little red hex parts were found in one of many junk drawers; I've no idea where they came from. The devil's head was originally a stickpin. The plasma ball was a donation to the cause, used as-is minus the original plastic housing. A circuit board is in the inside the large aluminum chunk in the rear and the batteries are housed in the two tubes on the top. the trigger is a mini toggle switch with a brass cover.

All in all, something fun to keep me busy when my regular job wasn't.
