I hate to torment you, but this is not a production kit. This model was cast from the masters for the 18" filming model from the movie. This is the same model currently offered in built-up form from Icons, only their lattice work (seen in the nose close-up) is molded resin, not photoetch. Building and painting this kit was pretty straightforward. One of the more challenging details was painting on the ship ID number, which I did using a stencil. The final product makes a nice display model of the ship, as seen in the latter half (post asteroid impact) of the film. |
