Various Spacemam 'furies

Before Monogram came out with their Starfury Mk1 kit, the most readily available model was made by a UK company called Spacemam. Spacemam has a deservedly ugly reputation - accuracy is poor at best, their resin is pretty poor, and they are expensive. On the other hand, they made kits no one else did so .....

The Yellow CO, 555th TFW ("Triple Nickles") is the best I could do with this beast of a kit. The yellow paint is Krylon; decals are from the spares box. The silver area is Bare-Metal foil.

Ivanova's fighter is courtesy of Jim James. Jim scratchbuilt a cockpit and pilot, and painted the logo by hand on the kit. More examples of his work can be seen throughout the gallery.

Below: The one that started it all - at least for me. Simon 'Gronk' Baumeister-Walker's 'fury.
