Scratchbuilt Vorlon Transport

By Erin Lantz

This is a Vorlon ship I scratchbuilt over the last five years. Yes five years. It took forever because I gave up on references and just added on to it as time went on. It's an example of building from memory. Obviously I don't remember details to well!

It's 20" long and made of ProMat, white resin, brass rod, and fiberglass resin and painted with TestorsMM. The petals were made by printing out a picture of the top profile. This was then cut out, shaped and taped, then coated with white resin. After cure it was sanded to shape. The main hull is the shape of a Perrier bottle, as is the front hull. My Vorlon went through many design changes, one of which if I'd left it in, it'd be more accurate. The engines on the hull were originally molded to the hull, not set on top. It still may get fixed, eventually....
