Alphahawk & Fireball

By David Coombes

The Alphahawk (above) is basically the front of the Monogram 1/48 Apache with some "extra parts". The picture was taken with 100 asa film outdoors against the sky with the camera on automatic. It's a bit blurred as I was holding the camera free hand. I used photoshop to take out the bit of aluminium tubing supporting the model.

The Fireball fighting suit is the Nitto kit. I didn't use all the armour or the rocket pack. Walls and floor were done with photoshop and printed with a laser printer, then stuck on card and some extra paint added. This is very quick and easy and looks ok in photos.
Dirt is made from "dirt" mixed with railway grit. This junk, is... junk from my spares box... The picture was taken with a plus 2 macro filter, smallest apperture, 100 asa film with about a 2 second exposure. Lighting came from 1 desk lamp directly overhead, about 6 inches over the scene in fact.
