1/ 2500 scale; sculpted by Tim Lindsay. This is the Starship that first appeared in 'The Battle' in STTNG as the USS Stargazer. It was Captain Picards first command, which he commanded for over 22 years before abandoning her at the battle at Maxia Zeta. He was subsequently court martialled for losing his ship. (Personally I think he should have be drummed out of the service for abandoning her considering how quickly she was repaired, battle ready and warp capable!) The model has subsequently be re-used as the USS Hathaway and USS Victory. This model consists of 4 resin cast pieces including the base. It is beautifully cast and requires very little prep work to complete it. It is at present being re-cast by Tim as there are some inaccuracies on the model - 5 instead of 6 'Shuttle Ports' around the primary saucer etc. Personally I didn't count as I am not an anorak case! Nevertheless it is a stunningly beautiful model, the likes of which precisioning and detail are completely unheard of here in Britain. I give it 10 out of 10. I primed the ship in Humbrol matt light grey and done the saucer panelling in various tones of grey and blue washes. The warp engines are done in Citadel lightening blue and blood red. I used spare decals to number her as the USS Thelonia NCC 2308. I would advise anyone who is into Star Trek to get this one. It is a good model for the beginner as well as the more experienced modeller .
