Klingon Bird of Prey

This Bird of Prey is from Sci-Fi Spaceship Miniatures' vacuform kit. This kit was built straight from the box with no modifications and only the parts that came with the kit were used. One of the more challenging parts of this kit was the engine baffle plates. All 110 (55 on each side) plates were cut individually, by hand (with knife) out of .040" sheet styrene. The model's base color was painted with Model Master medium green spray enamel and was weathered and detailed with various shades of Tamiya acrylics. After completion, the Bird of Prey was sold to a Sci-fi collectibles store called Stargate, Inc. of Irving, Texas.
