This is an entirely scratch-built model of the same size as the original ILM studio model. The wings and the front glass framework are MPC Darth Vader's Tie Fighter Kit parts. Although one can see no internal details in the cockpit of the original model, I decided to add such details to my model for greater realism. The twin fuselages were built out of PVC tubing and the surface detailing was obtained from several different kits. I painted my model using gray-bluish acrylic paint and added little weathering and few spots where paint has flaked off. |
