I decided to build this diorama as a change of pace from all of the Spacecraft I built. I had some figures left over from another project and decided to use them. The model is built to a scale of 1/32"

I began by converting the Tamiya Military figures. I used 2 part epoxy, styrene and wire for their suits. The helmets were the hardest to do, because I wanted to be able to see their faces. I used Theatrical Gels for the face shields. I changed the positions of their bodies to suit my needs. The guns in their hands were carved from styrene. The back packs were made from styrene and wire. I painted them by hand with Poly S, Floquil, and Testors paints. The Space creature was made from a dinasour kit of unknown origin. I added the ears, eyes, horn and teeth from 2 part epoxy. I covered the body with liquid latex and theatrical hair used in making wigs. It was painted with Poly S paint that I sprayed on. The skull and bones were made from Sculpy. The tree came from a bush in my yard. I used Model Railroading shredded foam, sand, and small rocks as the ground cover.
